contact... me Tell me how much you like my blog. Hah!
I'm getting better!!! It hasn't been 2 years since I last entered a "blog". TeeheeThat Disneyland Paris trip we took with our precious granddaughter and her parents was soooooooo much fun. A lot has happened since then....a lot!!! Anyway, about Disneyland...Esmee wasn't afraid of any of the characters and she just loved everything there. She still says she wants to go back. Our son and his wife are talking about going to Calif with us and then we could visit Disneyland if and when they come. I'm from California and I've only been here 5 years with my new Dutch family. I have 3 wonderful American kids in Calif..as well as a Mom, brother and sister and their families. My Dad passed away in March....Easter day. That's one of the things I was referring to when I said so much had happened. The Lord blessed me with 10 wonderful, yet emotionally and physically draining, days with him before he left his earthly home. I had been having some health issues and I needed to get some reports before I was able to fly home....Praise God!!! They were good reports so I postponed the last test to be done and flew home. Then about 6 weeks later my daughter was married. Talk about a roller coaster of emotions...sad time, happy time!!! But God was ever His wonderful Self and gave comfort and joy though it all. Yes, indeed, I do praise Him.We've bought a house here in the Netherlands. It's an adjustment trying to "downsize" but as we get older we really don't need all the stuff we acquire. The truth is we don't "need" it when we're younger but our thinking is that we do....another teehee. I have wanted a home with an upstairs my whole adult life. Now that I'm getting old and "creaky", I have one....lol There is no restroom upstairs so one has to go downstairs in the middle of the night. Fortunately, I have a strong bladder and usually make it all the way through the night. Hubby is a little different, tho. He has to make a trip down the stairs in the darkened night (dramatic, huh???). Ok..ok...I should say "usually" he has to make a trip........etc.Well, I should get my day started. I need to go read my scripture...well, I actually listen to it online. Technology really is something!!! I hope God blesses you with a wonderful day. Remember to give Him thanx (I know, habit) in all circumstances. If you are able to thank Him through the hard times, imagine the joy and happiness of thanking Him through the good times. He is with us no matter what the circumstances.....so always be thankful (He didn't say "for the circumstance" just "through the circumstance")!!!Until next time.........Luv Ya Bye!!! posted by Selma 11:56 PM
